The source material today is too thin and low-quality to produce a reliable brief. Here’s what’s actually usable:

  • New Right (TAC/FP): 6 substantive articles on Iran diplomacy, social media liability, and voter fraud framing
  • Cato: 10 articles that are all event listings, no news content
  • Left: 25 articles that are all pagination artifacts from a search results page — no actual article content
  • Mainstream: 1 article from 1969
  • Calibration: 1 usable article from March 25 on Trump/Iran

Producing a brief that invents left-framing, mainstream framing, or “what’s actually happening” context from this data would be fabrication. The format requires sourced, specific claims — and today’s feed doesn’t support that for most topics.

What I can do instead:

  1. Produce a partial brief covering only what’s actually sourced (Iran/diplomacy, social media liability), flagging the gaps explicitly
  2. Wait for a better feed
  3. Produce the brief if you can supply additional source snippets

Which would you prefer?
